What to Expect During Your Session
Bringing your family in for a photography session should feel relaxed, enjoyable, and stress-free. Whether it’s a newborn shoot, maternity session, or a family portrait, I’ll guide you every step of the way to ensure a beautiful and meaningful experience.

Before Your Session
Once you’ve booked, you’ll receive a detailed welcome guide with everything you need to know—what to bring, what to wear, and how to prepare. I’ll also be available to answer any questions, and we can chat about your vision for the session, the style you love, and any special moments you’d like to capture.

During Your Session
Your session will take place in my warm and welcoming studio, designed for comfort and calm. For newborns, I work gently and patiently, allowing time for feeding, settling, and soothing as needed. I use natural, timeless props and neutral tones to keep the focus on your baby and your family’s connection.
Maternity and family sessions are relaxed and unhurried, with gentle posing and plenty of guidance to help you feel confident and at ease in front of the camera.

After Your Session
Around two weeks later, you’ll return for a personalised viewing session. You’ll see your fully edited gallery in a beautiful slideshow and choose from a range of digital images, wall art, albums, and bespoke products to suit your home and style.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the session last?
Newborn sessions usually last 2–4 hours depending on your session. This is to allow plenty of time for feeding and settling. Maternity and family sessions typically take around 1 hour.

When should I book my newborn session?
I recommend booking after your 20-week scan to ensure availability. We’ll pencil in your due date, and once baby arrives, we’ll confirm a suitable date—ideally within the first 7–14 days. If you haven't book in advance and your baby has been born already, don't worry, just drop me an email or give me a call, and I can try and book you in depending on availability.

Do you provide outfits or props?
Yes! I have a carefully curated client wardrobe and a selection of beautiful, natural props and wraps for newborns, as well as outfits for mums and babies.

Can siblings be included?
Absolutely. I love capturing the connection between your children. We’ll plan the session around your family dynamic to make it as relaxed as possible for everyone.

Can extended family join the session?
My studio can only cater for a small amount of people before it gets too crowded

What should we wear?
Neutral, soft tones work beautifully. I’ll send you styling advice and outfit suggestions once your session is booked, and you’re welcome to use the client wardrobe too.

What if my baby doesn’t settle?
Please don’t worry. I have years of experience working with babies, and sessions are always baby-led. We’ll take breaks as needed and follow your baby’s pace.

Do you offer payment plans?
Payment plans may be available on request, with the option to split your balance into two instalments, paid no more than four weeks apart. Please note that final images and products will only be released once full payment has been received.

Do you only shoot in your studio?
While most sessions take place in my Berkshire-based studio, I occasionally offer seasonal outdoor sessions. Get in touch to discuss your preferences.
